James Banda
Managing Partner
James Banda is the Managing Partner of the Firm with over 20 years of experience in all areas of Zambian law. He is a litigation and transactions lawyer offering high-level strategic advice to industry-leading clients across many sectors of the Zambian economy. His specialities include commercial, construction, real estate, employment, competition and banking and finance law, where he uses his in-depth understanding of legislative, judicial, and procedural rules to unlock the practical implications of each case.
As a fellow of the Zambian Chapter of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, James is often selected to be part of the panel in commercial arbitrations. Additionally, he serves as commissioner in the Small Claims Courts. James is also a member of the International Bar Association, and the SADC Lawyers Association and has previously served as President for President both the SADC Lawyers Association and the Law Association of Zambia.
James is an advocate of the Superior Courts of Zambia. He received his legal master's in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution from the University of Leeds and holds an LLB from the University of Zambia.

Victoria Dean
Of Counsel
Victoria Dean, Of-Counsel of the firm, has over 20 years of experience advising clients across a broad range of sectors including banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, environmental law, corporate advisory, mining and energy, land rights and employment matters.
Victoria is an advocate of the Superior Courts of Zambia and received her Master of Laws in environmental and economic law as well as her LLB from the University of London.
Victoria is a seasoned transaction lawyer representing both local and international clients in M&A transactions; she also has considerable experience in negotiating power purchase agreements in the energy sector and advising clients in the telecommunications sectors. Other areas of expertise include the hotel and hospitality industry and the retail sector advising investors in the development of large-scale retail and residential projects. In 2018 she was appointed by the Minister of Lands to serve as the Deputy Chairperson of the Lands Tribunal, which operates as a circuit court and adjudicates over land disputes in Zambia.
Victoria is a Fellow of the London Chapter of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators as well as a qualified and experienced mediator. In 2007 she was appointed and continues to act as the Honorary Legal Adviser to the British High Commissioner in Zambia to date. Victoria has and continues to be a member of various boards including financial institutions, hotels/lodges, retails centres and not-for-profit organisations.

Kebby Wishimanga

Kebby is a Partner of the law firm, AMW & Co. Legal Practitioners, a full-service law firm with offices in Lusaka and Ndola, Zambia. Kebby manages the Ndola branch of the Law Firm. In his role, Kebby heads up the firm's litigation portfolio and handles complex commercial disputes and transactions.
Kebby’s courtroom experience encompasses matters in mining, commercial, energy, banking and finance, employment, immigration, and property disputes. Some of his most notable cases have been chronicled in the Zambia Law Reports, the leading publication on Zambian Case Law.
His first-hand experience in disputes places him at an advantage to advise clients on how best to avoid disputes and/or manage risk. Nakasamba Banda-Chanda is a Partner of the Firm with a wealth of experience in commercial transactions, principally advising on notable mergers and acquisitions in the banking and financial sector. She is also a qualified investment advisor, having obtained certification from the Zambian Securities and Exchange Commission. Nakasamba is also well versed in competition and anti-trust law, where she takes an active role in policy debate, legislative review and formulation of competition laws through her membership and involvement with the International Competition Network.
Additionally, she has considerable experience in Labour and Employment Law dispute resolution, having represented numerous corporations in the Industrial Relations Court.

Kate Nalondwa is a Senior Associate of the firm who is well versed in the skills of trial advocacy and litigation as well as commercial transactions. Sitting in the Ndola office, Kate undertakes most of the Firms instructions across the Copperbelt.
